While aimed at 7-11 year olds, this is more of a guidance than a limit.
Younger children may still find it accessible, depending on their reading ability and how much adult support they get. Older children may still love it too!
Great news for adults: most children aged 7-11 will happily enjoy the fun activities in Mysteries in Time independently, giving you a little peace! However, we do recommend adult supervision when they get started with the craft in the Bumper Box subscription.

Yes! Mysteries in Time is an historical, educational subscription for children that has been devised by a primary school teacher to provide a fun way to learn history. What a great gift for children!
Each month's time machine is bursting with educational activities for kids that will spark their imagination and their love of history.
By combining the fictional Max & Katie story, the supporting history fact booklet, an inspiring craft (Bumper box), colouring-in, word puzzles and more, children will be learning without realising it!
Mysteries in Time covers a range of skills and includes many topics that are found in the national curriculum. While it can be used to support or complement the curriculum, it does not exclusively follow it. We believe in a broad educational experience and are happy to be free from the constraints of the curriculum; we will choose our historical topics based on how interesting we think they are to explore and learn about.
Not at the moment. The first month, which is set in Ancient Egypt, sets the scene and includes the world map with timeline. Therefore, this is always the theme you will receive first. Subsequent months will be a range of ancient, middle and modern history (for example Ancient Egypt, the Elizabethans and World War Two).

The 12-month prepay package gives the best value as you will save £18.
The Bumper Box costs £12.95 per month plus £2.95 postage within the UK.

We deliver our mysteries worldwide. Payment will be taken in GBP.
Payment for the first month’s package will be taken when you first sign up.
After that, payment will be taken automatically on the 3rd of the month. Packages will be sent on or around the 23rd of that same month.
For the 3-month, 6-month and 12-month options, full payment is taken at checkout. If you select "This is a gift" at checkout, no further payments will be taken. If you have opted for it to renew, it will automatically renew after 3, 6 or 12 months. You can log in to your account to check the date of renewal.
If you sign up on or before the 22nd of the month, great news! Your first package will be sent in that month’s batch (on or around the 23rd of that month).
If you miss our cut-off and sign up on or after 23rd, I’m afraid we need more time to get your package ready. Your package will be sent with our next month’s batch (on or around the 23rd of the following month).
You can pay using all major debit and credit cards or through Paypal.
Your payment is processed by a third party company called Stripe Inc. Your payments are protected and secure. We do not have access to your card details.
You can also pay by using Paypal. Select 'Checkout with Paypal' at checkout.
If you wish to order through Paypal, click on the 'Checkout with Paypal' button. You will be taken to the Paypal login
screen. Once logged in to your Paypal account, you will be able to update the delivery address and the card to be used
for the purchase.
Click 'Agree and continue' and you will be taken back to the Mysteries in Time checkout page, where the postage costs (based on the delivery country) will be updated and you can confirm your order by clicking 'Checkout'.
Shipping within the UK is £0.95 for the Classic Pack and £2.95 per month for the Bumper Box.
For the Classic Pack, delivery within the EU is £1.95 per month and worldwide delivery is £2.95 per month.
For the Bumper Box, delivery within the EU is £3.95 per month and worldwide delivery is £4.95 per month.

Customers outside the UK are responsible for any import fees and duties applicable to their country, payable at the time of delivery.
We send all packages on or around the 23rd of the month.
We use Royal Mail 48 hour service for UK addresses, so most customers should receive their package within 2 working days.
For customers outside the UK we use Royal Mail International Standard. Within Europe most customers should receive their package within 3-5 working days and in the rest of the world within 5-7 working days.
Don't worry, you won't receive all the boxes in one go!
Each month, we will send a box on or around the 23rd, just like an ongoing subscription.
However, if you would like to receive all the packages in one go please email us at [email protected] and we can happily arrange this for you.
As our Bumper Boxes are packed full of fun activities, they are too big to go through standard letter boxes. If you’re not at home, Royal Mail will do their thing and either leave your box with a friendly neighbour or keep it at your local delivery office for you to collect / rearrange delivery.
Our Classic Pack is sent out in large format letters so will fit through most standard letter boxes.
For UK customers, please allow at least 4 days after receiving the despatch email, just to make sure your postman didn’t get lost on the way!
For EU customers, please allow at least 6 days and for the rest of the world please allow 8 days.

Yes, you can add multiple subscriptions to your account.
To do this, log in to your account. Choose "JOIN NOW" from the menu on the top right of the page. You will be taken to the purchase page, where you can choose the product you want. Select your desired product and then you will be taken to the checkout page where you can update any new details and purchase the product.
This will then be added to your account.
You can skip your next renewal by logging in to your account. Click the edit button on the product you wish to skip. On the next page click "Skip Next Renewal". This will mean the next renewal will be skipped and you won't be charged again until the following month.
If you change your mind about skipping the next renewal, log back in to your account and click the "Click to Un-Skip!" button. You will then be moved back to the previous renewal date.
If you wish to skip 2 or 3 months at a time, please email us at [email protected]. We can amend your subscription so that you will not receive the next one for up to 3 months in advance.
Should you wish to pause your subscription, you need to do so on or before the 2nd of the month. If you miss this deadline, then our automatic payment system will collect the next month’s subscription and you will receive the next package.
You can cancel your ongoing subscription at anytime but we will be sorry to see you go.
If you have pre-paid for the 3, 6 or 12 month package, and then cancel it, you will still receive the remaining number of boxes which you have paid for, but this will not then renew.
To cancel, log in to your account. In the box on the left of the page under ‘Your Subscription(s)’, click the orange button ‘EDIT’. On the next page, click the blue button below: ‘CANCEL SUBSCRIPTION’.
If you have already paid for the next package, you will still receive this and your subscription will be cancelled ahead of the next month.
Should you wish to cancel your subscription, you need to do so on or before the 2nd of the month. If you miss this deadline, then our automatic payment system will collect the next month’s subscription and you will receive the next package as the final package.
If you previously cancelled and decide you want to re-join us, we’d love to welcome you back! The first package in the Mysteries in Time series is always Ancient Egypt, then the Elizabethans and so on. If you are happy to start from the beginning again, then great! Subscribe as normal.
If you don’t want to repeat the same packages again and would prefer to pick up where you left off, no problem! Just drop us an email at [email protected] telling us your name, address and the last package you received, and we will get you signed up again.
Yes, you can. Please log in to your account to change your product. You must do this on or before the 2nd of the month, as the automatic payment system will take payment on the 3rd of the month.
